What is needed to receive ABA therapy in Arkansas
Arkansas requires what is called a "two-prong diagnosis" to receive ABA therapy. This means an initial diagnosis must be given by a speech language pathologist and/or psychiatrist/psychologist, as well as the child's doctor. Once this is completed, they are then eligible for ABA therapy. If you notice symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder in your child, please contact their doctor for an evaluation referral. Individualized goals are created following evidence-based practices to decrease behaviors that may interfere with the child reaching their full potential while teaching replacement skills.
